About Me

Welcome to This Joyous Journey!  My name is Brianna and I am a wife, mother to 2 energetic boys and 1 angel baby, and a licensed clinical social worker by profession.  I love learning, sharing my story and inspiring others!  I also enjoy spending as much quality time with my family as I can and attempting to create joy and balance in every aspect of this journey of life I am privileged to be a part of!  Areas of my life I make a priority include creating nutritious meals and a healthy lifestyle for my family, attempting to maintain some sort of organization and balance in our home, running, learning as much as I can about healthy living, and of course my newest adventure with blogging.  I would LOVE for you to come along on this journey with me!

In 2007, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Ulcerative Colitis, and was told by doctors that life as I knew it would never be the same, that diet and lifestyle had nothing to do with healing my body, and that I would need to be on medication for the rest of my life.  After recovering from the initial shock of this message, I immediately knew I had a choice to make and I resolved then and there that I would not accept this grim prognosis and that there had to be another option.

In the months that followed my diagnosis, I began researching non-stop, and eventually embraced a drastic lifestyle change that has since brought healing to my body, mind and spirit.  This journey that I have been on has changed my life, and I am passionate about sharing what I have learned and continue to learn with others.  It is my hope that I can share about this journey I am on, in all aspects as they relate to healthy living, family and parenting, emotional well being,  and ultimately how to balance it all – a process I work on every day!

My hope is that this blog will inspire you and provide you with more information and ideas about how to create healing and wholeness using nature’s medicine cabinet and natural products, how to incorporate family life and children into the mix of living a healthy lifestyle, and lastly how to care for your emotional health by creating and choosing JOY in this journey of life we are all on!

I would love to have you stay for awhile – read, comment, and share!
